Shone | O Music Awards:

Shone is a super group of sorts â headed up by Brand Newâs Brian Lane â that launched an elaborate viral campaign at the end of last year to herald its existence. The project included all manner of Clue-esque shenanigans â hand-written notes hand-delivered to fansâ doors, hidden USB drives, hand-painted birdhouses (?!) and a cast of shadowy characters that crept through every frame of the story. More time-consuming than a press release, but so much cooler.

A band that I’m really proud of being a part of is up for an award. Take the time to vote please! Would mean a lot to all of us involved.

I was lucky enough to befriend a wonderful gal named Sarah Negahdari who’s filling in on bass for Silversun Pickups. She has her own projects Pisces (posted here) and another one called The Happy Hollows (heavier and chaotic in the best way possible). Unbelievably talented and a wonderful bundle of joy to be around. Check her music out and support it. It’s all I’ve been listening to for the past week. The Happy Hollow have a new record out in July.
